About BoardLoop

A purpose-built marketplace for the surf community, made right here on the Northern Beaches of Sydney.

Where it came from

BoardLoop started out of frustration. Buying and selling surfboards on Facebook Marketplace and Gumtree is a pain — listings buried under furniture and car parts, zero context for what you're actually looking at, and sellers who ghost you after three messages.

Surfers deserve something better. A place built specifically for boards, where listings include the details that actually matter — dimensions, fin setup, shaper — and where the community is all people who care about the same thing you do.

So we built it.

Our mission

Make it easy to rehome surfboards and keep them out of landfill. A well-loved board that's been outgrown shouldn't end up in a skip — it should end up under someone else's arm, heading to the beach.

BoardLoop is currently in beta. We're a small operation based in the Northern Beaches, Sydney, and we're building this alongside our own time in the water. If you have feedback, we genuinely want to hear it.

Where we're at

Right now BoardLoop is free to use. No listing fees, no platform commissions. Transactions happen directly between buyers and sellers, in person, which is how it should be.

We're growing steadily and adding features based on what the community actually needs. Stay tuned.
