What BoardLoop is

BoardLoop is a classifieds platform that connects people who want to buy and sell used surfboards. We provide the technology to list boards, browse listings, and communicate between buyers and sellers.

BoardLoop is not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers. All transactions are agreed and completed directly between users, in person. We have no involvement in the exchange of goods or money.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use BoardLoop. By signing up, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Your listings

You are responsible for the accuracy of your listings. By posting a listing, you confirm that:

  • You own the item or have the right to sell it.
  • The item is not stolen or otherwise unlawfully obtained.
  • The description, photos, and price are accurate and not misleading.
  • The listing does not violate any applicable laws.

Prohibited content

You must not use BoardLoop to list or sell:

  • Stolen goods or items obtained through fraud.
  • Items that are illegal to sell under Australian law.
  • Anything other than surfboards and directly related surf equipment (as determined at our discretion).

Fraudulent listings or any attempt to deceive other users will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

Transactions and meetups

All sales are agreed between buyers and sellers privately. BoardLoop does not facilitate, process, or guarantee any transaction. We strongly recommend meeting in a public place and inspecting items thoroughly before exchanging money.

BoardLoop accepts no liability for any loss, damage, injury, or dispute arising from a transaction or meetup arranged through the platform.

No warranty on listings

BoardLoop does not verify the accuracy of listings. We make no representations or warranties about the quality, safety, or legality of items listed on the platform. Use your judgement and inspect items before buying.

Account termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, including (but not limited to) if you violate these terms, post prohibited content, or engage in behaviour that is harmful to other users or to the platform.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BoardLoop is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the past 12 months (which, during the free beta period, is nil).

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will let you know. Continuing to use BoardLoop after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
