·3 min readStop refreshing. Let us find your next board.
Finding the right second-hand board takes patience. The one you want might not be listed yet - and checking back every few days means you either miss it when it goes up, or you end up scrolling through boards that aren't what you're after. Search alerts do the waiting for you.
How it works
Set your filters - board type, brand, length, volume, condition, price - then hit "Save search." That's it. We'll email you the moment a matching board is listed. You're first in line without having to do anything.
You can save as many searches as you like. Looking for a shortboard under $600 and also keeping an eye out for a longboard? Save both. Each one runs independently.
We go after sellers too
When someone lists a board that matches active alerts, we don't just email the buyers - we let the seller know there are people already looking for exactly what they've listed. That means motivated buyers reach out faster, and boards that match what people want tend to sell quicker.
It's useful for sellers to know there's real demand sitting there before they've even started fielding enquiries.
Good for hunting specific boards
Search alerts are especially useful when you're looking for something specific - a particular shaper, a tight size range, a board that rarely comes up. Instead of checking back and finding nothing for weeks, you set an alert and forget about it. When it comes up, you'll know.
The more specific your search, the more valuable the alert. A broad search for "any shortboard under $800" will generate plenty of emails. A search for a Channel Islands Rocket Wide between 5'8 and 5'10 in good condition will send you something rare and genuinely useful when it does fire.
Setting one up
Browse to boardloop.com.au/browse, filter down to what you're looking for, then click "Save search" in the sidebar. You'll need an account - it's free and takes about 30 seconds to set up.
Your saved searches live under your account at any time, so you can remove or adjust them whenever your hunt changes.
